I felt that my voice was a sufficient volume the entire time. My eye contact was very solid. One thing that i have noticed the most about my presentation was my extensive hand gestures. I was constantly moving my hands, and moving around. I could have also improved my knowledge of my topic, but at the same time I believe I included all the necessary information to explain my topic sufficiently.

Picking up Another Language
I have been watching the film known as "The Breakfast Club" all week now, and i have been paying special attention to Jon Bender's character. In the movie, he plays a "criminal" who just doesn't seem to care about anyone's feelings and says what ever is on his mind, not caring if it is out of line. In other words, Jon Bender's character is an a** h***. I have been given the challenge of playing his character in a screen play for an English project. I've noticed that Jon Bender's attitude, tone, and diction is pretty much the exact opposite of mine. As an "actor in practice", I'm am trying my best to become this character and copy his exact characteristics. I've realized that this is as almost as difficult as learning a whole new way of speaking. You have to have a different thought process when you hear someone else talk, and go against your instincts. It is the illusion of a whole new language. In my case, I am the exact opposite of Jon Bender and it is quite hard to accept his character as my own.
"Sincerely yours,
The Breakfast Club"

The English language can sometimes be a tricky thing. One thing that we constantly use incorrectly in the English language are acronyms. Without notching, we sometimes add words or letters when we use acronyms in a sentence. For example, if you are watching baseball with your buds and Chase Utley hits a home run with two people on base, a common mistake would be saying, "Chase Utley had three RBIs last night!" When you really think about it, saying RBIs doesn't make any sense. Your really saying that he had three Runs Batted Ins. That is totally not right. If you were to say it correctly it would be said like, "Chase Utley had three RBI last night!" Another mistake people make is saying the acronym itself and then adding an additional word to the end, in most cases it would be whatever the last word was. For example, you may have heard your mom or dad say, "I'm going to the ATM machine real fast. You want me to pick up some Taco Bell? When you really think about it, they are saying, "I'm going to the automated teller machine machine." You don't need that extra machine. Same mistake with acronym VIN (Vehicle Identification number). Some people say VIN number, which is just adding the word number again.

The Wizard of Odd
It is safe to say that most of the people reading this have seen the epic known as The Wizard of Oz. To the untrained eye, it is a "feel good" story with positive morals and good intentions. However, when I really look at it and break down all the details that come along with the story line, it doesn't seem to have the qualities everybody thinks it has. These thoughts mostly come from the so called "good witch" named Glenda. Glenda isn't much of a good witch when you really think about it. She takes Ruby slippers off of the feet of the wicked witch of the east when she had no right to. If anything, the slippers belong to her sister, the wicked witch of the west. Glenda also has a bunch of munchkins all fired up to the point where there all singing songs about a persons death. Finally, Glenda sends Dorothy on a long journey in attempt to kill the wicked witch of west, which does turn out to happen. It turns out at the end of film that Glenda had the power to send Dorothy home the whole time, but Glenda made her go through this pointless journey just to kill the wicked witch of the west. It seems as though Glenda used Dorothy to do all of the dirty work that she doesn't want to do herself. All in all, the Wizard of Oz is just another one of those movies where you have to read in between the lines to find out what it's all about.

Baby Judith
There has been a plethora of zombie movies where humans are forced to deal with a zombie apocalypse. However there hasn't been a television with this very same theme, until now! Bear McCreary's The Walking Dead is a television show in which a group of people join together to survive this zombie apocalypse. The group has lost and gained people throughout the show, and the group is currently in a prison still filled with walkers (Zombies). The protagonist of the group is Rick, who has a son named Carl and a wife named Lori whom is pregnant. While in the prison, there was a walker attack and the group was separated. Lori began to go into labor, and it was Maggie and Carl there to assist her. Maggie performed a C-section on Lori and she unfortunately did not survive the child birth. Little baby Judith was born into the zombie world, this being the only baby that the group has ever seen during the zombie outbreak. To the current day in the show, the zombie outbreak is about a year old.
There has been a lot of talk and confusion on how a baby could survive in this world due to the fact that there is no mother, which in turns make it difficult to get baby formula, and there is also little baby food left. However a few members would go make a run for some food and baby formula now and again. With these harsh conditions, Judith has survived a whole season, which was approximately 3 or 4 months long. Through that time span, there has been little concentration of her progress and how she she is remaining so healthy living with the little amount of supplies they have. My theory is that this is not a normal baby! As far as the viewer knows, this has been the only baby ever born into the Walking Dead, which in a sense could make her different from everyone else. The walkers may have the same ideal to Judith. In other words, the walkers may not smell Judith, which makes her untouchable to walkers. This advantage cold make Judith impossible to kill by the walkers. This discovery could create a solution for the zombie apocalypse, which would be to repopulate the earth and start over.
